TÜBİTAK-ATAL & CSL signed MOU
Central Science Laboratory(CSL) is an Executive Agency of the UK Government Department Defra (Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs), founded by the then Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in April 1992. CSL is prominant in the area of residues and contaminants in food safety which is accredited to ISO17025 in all areas of testing and operates internationally in the quality area through running proficiency testing schemes like FAPAS and FEPAS.
TUBITAK-ATAL is actively collaborated with CSL. This collaboration has resulted in joint publications and future joint activities are envisaged through FP6 partnerships and in collaborative ventures. TUBITAK-ATAL is for example already a partner in TRACE which is co-ordinated by CSL. In order to strengthen this collaboration and to facilitate networking, training and consultancy in Europe, ATAL has signed a MOU to formalise and promote this strategic partnership.

The MOU was signed in Ankara in December 2004 by the Director of TUBITAK-ATAL Mr. Faruk Altun and at CSL by Chief Executive Prof. Mike Roberts.
